Walton Robotics, FIRST Robotics Competition Team 2974, runs workshops and summer camps for younger students out of its lab behind Walton High School at 1590 Bill Murdock Rd in Marietta. Camps have included the team's Tech Tinkerers camp plus LEGO NXT/EV3, Java programming and VEX robotics camps; over the last five years the team has run, hosted or taken part in more than 17 camps and 200-plus outreach events. The team started in 2008 with 10 members and also mentors other Georgia robotics teams through its Destination Engineering outreach program.
