Powered by GoogleToday was my first time visiting the Village center for the Arts for the Open Studio. I was so impressed! I went there with my daughter and her friend. We all created something unique and we had such a good time. Diane and Jayson were so welcoming and helpful. We did not know where to start but they showed us everything and set us up to create whatever we wanted. They told us about the place and some of the things that they offered. For example, students are allowed to create their projects for school for free! That really amazed me, they really care about the community. I will be going back with the girls because we had such a great time. Also, if you have anything to donate to create artistic things, they will gladly take it. I saw crafty things like tiles, puzzle pieces, random fabrics, too many things to list but they were things that I wouldn't think about making art with. So if you have anything that you think someone can make art out of, then donate it to the Village Center for Arts.
I moved to this town, not too long ago and with a huge heart for Art I found this beautiful little gem on new Milford Green. I couldn’t help myself but to volunteer some work and I’ve loved it ever since! I even got involved with some dancing work for the trunk or treat. So cool ! I was able to learn some new crafts skills at the studio and I just highly recommend For anybody that loves art or wants to learn a new art skill !
Very welcoming art studio and pottery shop. $13 as studio fee, then buy any premade pot to color and glaze starting from $10-15, or you can made your own pottery. Good spot to extend your hobbies or make gifts for your loved ones
Very friendly staff! Great atmosphere! My daughter had a ceramic painting birthday party and all the kids loved it and had a great time! Would definitely recommend!
I had an amazing experience at Village Center for the Arts. Last night my husband and I took a hand building class with Sharon and Dianne. It was the perfect night out where we got to create our very own mug, from rolling the clay to designing and putting every piece together. Sharon was so much fun to learn from and the class was perfectly instructed. I highly recommend Village Center of the Arts to anyone who wants to learn drawing, pottery, jewelry and art in general. The atmosphere is incredible and the instructors are friendly and knowledgeable to everyone who wants to be part of it. I love how involved they are with the community and how they guide everyone who enters to express themselves. I will be back with my whole family because this has become one of my favorite places to visit. I certainly can't wait to see my finished product. Now let's talk about the talent and decor -The moment you enter the studio you breathe art from any point you look. My favorite is the residual wall that has been built over the years and plays a fundamental part within the essence of the studio. Wow, the time it has taken to build it, along with the collective effort makes it a great piece of work. I invite you to come and visit Village Centers for the Arts where you will fall in love with every aspect of it. I loved being able to see other students at a previous class work on their projects with Betty Ann.
