I brought my 10.5 year old niece here for the day. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We needed to wait for an hour while the pool was cleaned and they waived our entrance fees. Water was warm, pools were fun, enjoyed the lazy river a lot. Our shoes were stolen, we had them under a bench in the women's locker room. Staff gave us shoes from lost and found to wear home.

I highly recommend becoming a member at UVAC. The facility and staff are excellent. They have a wide variety of exercise rooms and classes available. Their accommodation and support for all types of fitness is very impressive. My family has most enjoyed the aquatic center. This facility has the best swim lesson program and swim team in the region. I can't speak highly enough about all of their coaches, instructors, levels of classes/teams, teaching methods and modern equipment.

The facility is ok, but the way they run it is disorganized and frustrating. Parents have to pay for a FULL PRICE DAY PASS to keep an eye on their kids at the pool, even when they're not using any of the facilities. We've never been charged that before, and all of a sudden it's "something they've always done". The people who work there are uninformed and give completely different answers to the same questions. This isn't the first time, just the latest one.

This place is better than other pools we’ve been to throughout New England for swim meets. Recently they’ve switched to MeetMobile for heat sheets instead of just simply posting them on their website. So, now, they sell printed versions of the heat sheets at the meets, or you can use the MeetMobile app, which is a paid app. You can get psych sheets and pre-heat info free, but the heat start times are either not shown in the free version or the UVAC employee putting the info in isn’t correctly adding start times, because every event and every heat shows the same start time. Either way, it’s annoying and stupid and would take less effort to offer them free on the website. Regardless, the facility is nice, though the water can be a bit gross. Seems like it’s mostly sweat and spit these days. The swimmers were complaining about the feel of the water and rushed to shower. The meets seem well organized, at least they seem to run along normally and without many hiccups. Biggest gripe from the last meet we attended was the same that literally hundreds of other people had. The UVAC team. They were acting obnoxious. Dozens crowded the edge of the pool preventing the officials from getting a view of the swimmers anytime a single UVAC swimmer was in the water. A handful of them were screaming blood-curdling screams for over an hour straight Saturday afternoon until at least one was holding their throat from what was likely fairly significant vocal cord damage. The spectators sat in the bleachers begging for it to stop. It ruined the atmosphere and the enjoyment for most of us. I saw one guy with ear plugs and thought to myself that UVAC should hand them out for free… along with heat sheets. Their team was not cheering, they were screaming. It was like unsupervised 5 year olds with too much sugar in them. It was torture and everyone in the stands were talking about it. Really hope their team finds an adult that will make some basic behavioral adjustments, it looks really bad on their program. I know my kid wouldn’t be on that team after seeing how they acted at that meet. It was embarrassing.
