The CCBA Witherell Recreation Center (Carter Community Building Association) in Lebanon, NH has served the Upper Valley for 100 years and runs a nine-week summer day camp with hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Alongside camp it offers youth sports, aquatics, childcare and after-school programs. Tuition assistance is available through a scholarship fund.

The other gym folk that come here, in my experience, have been uniformly positive and courteous, creating a comfortable affirming gym culture. I feel welcome every time I visit. The facility is clean and has a continuum of equipment types that have brought me from rehabilitation to fitness. There is a terrific variety of classes I have taken. I have also tried personal training, the free weights, and most of weight and exercise machines. There is a huge heated swimming pool that is a comfortable temperature. Day lockers are free but I prefer to rent a permanent locker, since I am here a lot. When you add the sauna, hot tub, and cold plunge, it is unbeatable for working out, relaxing, or both. I have gone to other gyms in the past but have returned to the CCBA solidly for about 16 months and become fit, lost weight, built muscle, and rehabbed my post-surgical shoulder. I look and feel 10 years younger. Can’t say enough about this place.

The children’s activity room is wonderful and my daughter loves it! So now I can work out, take classes, lift weights and my daughter can play with new friends and join camps and have fun! Everyone is always so nice and welcoming and everyone really takes care of one another. I am grateful for the CCBA.
★★★★★Wil MichaelI've been going here for the last three months and am nothing but impressed. If you need a gym in the Lebanon area this is a great spot. All the staff I've interacted with are always professional and knowledgeable. Facility is very clean with lots of resources. The weight room is pretty old but has everything you need. Plenty of machines and a full cardio room. Never taken one but the classes look great in the pool or the studio. Downstairs they have ergs and another training room which is normally pretty empty. Locker rooms are clean and include a Sauna which is great. Pool is great and includes a variety of classes all week. Besides the staff the people you meet at the Ccba are always super nice and welcoming I highly recommend this center.
