Myboys and I have been members for about 5-6 years now and . We love this YMCA. It's always clean with friendly staff. Oh! And the outdoor pool is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!

The outdoor pool is a fun place for kids. However we had a negative experience recently. Some other kiddos had been borrowing my 3 year old’s toys which was fine. When we were ready to get out of the pool, I kindly retrieved them and placed them into our bag and put our towels on top. It was all on our deck chair. We had a snack and went to the attached playground. When we came back I noticed our bags uncovered and most of the toys gone. I looked around for a little while and finally noticed some kids banging one of my son’s toys onto the concrete and smashing it. I noticed they had several of our toys, so I politely asked for them back and asked them not to go into my bag. No parents were around. I had to go back a second time and ask for other toys back because I noticed that they had some that were hidden under their towels previously. It felt very violating and honestly quite strange that 1- a child thinks it’s ok to go into someone else’s things and take them. 2- that no parents stopped or corrected them even when they were breaking something that didn’t belong to them. Just a warning, the facility is nice enough, but be careful of the people. They’re not watching their children and they get into trouble. I have had things taken from my locker inside as well. Another negative experience we had was last year when my two year-old at the time wanted to go to the playground and there were some slightly older boys, maybe six or seven, and they were cursing every curse word in the book. And they did not stop or seem to mind that my two-year-old and I were standing there listening. Again, no parents around. There seems to be a private club of local people here and if they decide that you are not part of their group, they will be sure to make it known. Other than that we love the indoor track. The sauna unfortunately reeks of dirty gym shorts and axe body spray and every one wears their gym shoes in. The whirlpool - while spacious - is sadly lukewarm. Staff will tell you the temp is a constant 102, but it obviously is not. One more thing - a few weeks ago they were refinishing the gym floor and the floors upstairs. My 3 year old and I attended their gymnastics class after they re-opened the lower level. The fumes from the floor finish were so strong I had to ask for them to ventilate the area which was not being done. I was told it’s coming from upstairs. Ok - it still needs to be ventilated - the upstairs opens into the downstairs gym and the fumes are literally concentrating in the open space. Then the lady at the front desk responded with disdain and said she would call the police on me for yelling ? I pointed out their security cameras and said I’m not yelling. I explained that it is against OSHA for them not to be ventilating those fumes. My son had heart surgery and can’t be around it - nor should anyone breathe that in. It is toxic. They got a manager (this guy is actually awesome and does a fantastic job there) who immediately opened the gym doors - which helped a lot and my son was able to keep playing. But what is going on in this place? You are a health club allowing toddlers to breath polyurethane, spar varnish, or whatever chemical you are finishing the floors with. Train your staff to be more professional to your guests. If they have personality conflicts with guests - they need to overcome them. We are here to heal and relax not be ridiculed for trying to do so.

After school program workers are phenomenal: they follow the rules on safety with the children, help get the kids ready for parents, and are patient, kind, and non-condescending to kids and adults.

It is a cozy and welcoming place. The facilities are clean and the instructors are friendly. Some of the classes are intense and push you close to your limits, and I really feel like I am improving myself whenever I go.

Facility is beautiful. The staff on the other hand, usually not so much. Feels like we’re at boot camp with all the rules. Lifeguards are very young that love telling adults & kids what to do. They love the authority. It’s like a cult. Too many rules for such a beautiful building
