Subject Serious Safety Concern Edit for the owner: Let's try again for the people patronizing your business especially concerned parents. To be clear, I did not state that I was a student or a client of this business, and I am not confused about the location. This mischaracterization mirrors how my original report was handled in person. I reported misconduct by an individual affiliated with your school, including harm to me and concerns raised by other women in the music industry, directly to those present at the front of the shop. I also raised a separate and serious concern about his comments regarding a minor student. Whether or not law enforcement chose to prosecute is irrelevant to the substance of what was reported. Failure to prosecute does not negate documented behavior, credibility of reports, or the responsibility of a business to take safety concerns seriously. This review reflects how those concerns were dismissed. —Cara Cramer, social worker I am sharing this reluctantly, but out of responsibility. I've given the review five stars in the hopes that more people will read it. I informed the female owner of this business that one of her teachers had assaulted me and stolen my prescribed medication. I also told her that multiple women, including myself, had attempted to involve law enforcement regarding this individual. I further reported that this same teacher told me a 16-year-old student he was instructing on acoustic bass was “trying to get with him.” He described flirtatious behavior and framed the situation in a way that projected adult interpretations onto a minor. I found this disclosure highly inappropriate and concerning given his role with children. Rather than taking any of this seriously, the owner immediately discredited me and accused me of being intoxicated. This accusation was unfounded. I do not use drugs, and I work in victim advocacy and child-focused professional settings. At no point was I treated as someone raising a legitimate safety concern. Instead, my attempt to report misconduct and boundary issues involving a minor was shut down. A business that places adults in close contact with children has a duty to respond carefully and responsibly to reports like this. In this case, that duty was not met. Because of how this was handled, I would not recommend this music school to parents concerned with child safety and professional accountability. Because of her past attitude, I will not address responses from the business owner.

I have been an URS parent for several years. The owner is an accomplished musician himself and that is what initially prompted us to enroll in his school. The teachers are deeply involved in the growth of their student’s skills and development. Highly recommend it.

The new studio is great! As an adult student, I searched throughout the county looking for a school that could fit my needs. Universal Rock School does just that! I always look forward to each of my cello lessons with Toni. She is a wonderful teacher and musician. Toni will help guide you toward accomplishing and surpassing your musical goals. I would highly recommend this studio for any age student. Don’t be afraid to embark on a new passion at any age!

I sent my 7 year old son here because he began showing interest in musical arts. I had no prior experience with music only sports. My son Revan absolutely loves it! He's learning how to play piano, guitar, and the upright bass! I had no idea he had these kind of talents. He loves going to lessons with Miss Toni and Mr Steve! They are so good with kids of all ages and I can't wait to see him keep progressing in his talents. 10 out of 10! He loves taking after school lessons and they even have summer camps! This school is a blessing!
