This is the third year our boys have spent a few summer weeks in the woods with Tribal Wisdom Academy, and it continues to be such a rewarding experience. They come home every day dirty, happy, and proudly carrying tools they crafted themselves—sometimes entirely on their own, sometimes with a little guidance—out of wood and metal. Learning blacksmithing and other traditional skills is truly something special! Beyond tool-making and survival skills, their days are filled with meaningful activities: cooking lunch over the fire, playing creative games, digging in the dirt, creating their own “tribal wisdom rules,” and learning from one another. Watching older kids teach younger ones is a wonderful dynamic that makes the camp experience even richer. On a practical note, Claire, one of the camp creators, has always been responsive and thoughtful whenever I’ve had questions or concerns, which brings great peace of mind as a parent. We highly recommend Tribal Wisdom Academy to any family seeking a unique, hands-on, and nature-filled summer adventure!

My older one joined Tribal Wisdom summer camp where a group of kids (pretended to) set up a company, selling handmade crafts and earning money (fake). The company was started by a ten-year-old “little boss,” and my son was recruited because of his good crafting skills. The business was making small trinkets to sell, became so popular that it turned into a monopoly, and even had security guards and a savings account. The boss also did performance reviews and fired those who didn’t contribute much. My kid was kept on because of his crafting skills and the fact that he worked without asking for pay......So funny that he kept up his work enthusiasm for days and still talks about it nowadays.

Tribal Wisdom Academy was absolutely wonderful for my 8-year-old son this summer. Over two weeks, he got to explore, build and craft beautiful wooden and metal tools, dig for arrowheads in the mine, work on his archery skills, and collect countless Tribal Coins. I picked him up each afternoon covered in dirt, tired, and genuinely happy - which told me everything I needed to know about how much fun he was having. The mentors and staff are fantastic - responsible, friendly, and really encouraging with the kids. Camp directors Claire and Ben are supportive and such a pleasure to talk with. They created this perfect environment where my son felt safe to get out of his comfort zone and try new things he'd never done before. Now that summer's ending, he's got amazing memories, new skills, and an armory of wooden swords that will keep him busy planning next summer's adventures all winter long. We're already excited to come back in 2026! I'd highly recommend this camp to any parent looking for something that's both fun and meaningful for their child.

Unforgettable Camp Experience!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My son had the best time during his two weeks at Tribal Wisdom Academy this summer. He not only made new friends but also found two very special best friends in Lucas and Miod — two incredible mentors who made his experience truly unforgettable. Every day he came home dusty, messy, and full of joy, sharing stories about pony rides, feeding bunnies and goats, and adding little details to the beautiful wooden crafts prepared by the staff. The staff are kind, grounded, and truly connect with the kids. We’re so grateful for this beautiful experience. Nathan can’t wait to return next year — and we can’t wait to send him back!

My son has been part of Tribal Wisdom for the last 5 years and he just loves it! He loves being outdoors, work independently, and just being able to build things he wouldn’t be able to make anywhere else. One of the owners, Claire, is super helpful if you have any questions and is always available for questions. My son is now almost too old but Claire was able to offer for him to be part of the older group and basically help out with the younger kids which he’s super excited about! I highly recommend this camp to every kid that loves the outdoors!
