Tree Folk Outdoor Education runs nature-based summer day camps held entirely outdoors on a private 150-acre property of forest, woodland, and farmland at the edge of Oregon City. For children ages 5-12, weekly themes like native-ecosystem stewardship and nature-inspired creativity begin each morning with a half-mile hike to an oak savanna, building outdoor skills, curiosity, and mindfulness.

The best camp ever. We both work full time so we need lots of summer camps, when I would rather be spending time with my daughter. The days are structured enough but loose and wild as well. It is also child-led. My daughter comes home energized and excited about life. Hours are 9-3 but I believe they have before and after care on some days.

What a gem of a summer camp! We signed up on a whim because we couldn’t find any other all day program for the last week of the summer. It was the highlight of my son’s summer! He also attended Campfire Columbia day camp, and WL Fun in the Sun, but this was by far his favorite. Every day we picked him up he was dirty and happy, just like a little boy should be in the summer! Communication with the camp was easy as well. My son is already asking about next summer!

Tree folk was a great experience for my kids! They came home happy, tired, and full of stories. The camp is situated on a beautiful piece of land, and they have a great setup with an outdoor classroom that had enough shade when it got hot.

What a great camp! Our girls had a blast and learned a lot. It’s the perfect balance of independent, confidence building outdoor exploration and guided activities by great instructors. We only did one week this summer, but look forward to more next year!
