The Studio Fine Art Classes is a traditional fine-art school in Bellevue teaching sketching, still life, watercolor, gouache and oil painting, with students taught individually through a set curriculum. Its summer art camp lets families build their own schedule with half-day (about $100/day) or full-day (about $140/day) attendance. Separate class tracks run for preschoolers, children and teens across two Bellevue locations, downtown and at Crossroads.

Our daughter’s most favourite class out of everything else she does and always looks forward to attending them! She also talks about coming here twice a week instead of once and not doing anything else! Because they are just so good! Amazing supportive talented staff! Justin has the best sense of humour and is great with the kids! All the teachers are awesome and if you’re looking for an art class for your kid, there is no better place to be!

Both of my kids have been with the studio for years, and they both say it’s their favorite after-school activity. The teachers are professional, encouraging, and make every lesson incredibly fun and engaging. My older one started with pastels and has since advanced to colored pencils. Along the way, he has not only learned valuable art techniques but also developed patience and strong attention to detail. We’ve truly seen his skills and confidence grow over time.

I have been attending classes at the Studio for seven years now. I am so glad I did. Going to the Studio each week helped me rekindle a passion for art! I look forward to coming to class each week. A special shoutout to all of the instructors who’ve worked with me all of these years! Thank you so much.

I've been going here for the past 6 ish years now ever since I was around 7 years old. (For reference I'm 13 right now) In that time, I have done chalk pastel, watercolor, sketching, and just started oil. Now I do love this place, but if I compared the studio to how it was pre-covid, I think the new teachers are just not it. Most of the pre-covid teachers who were actually passionate about teaching quit because the owner refuses to give them health insurance. After the last of the pre-covid teachers left, the vibe is not the same. It doesn't feel like the friendly, family-like studio it did before. Class used to be fun with the teachers joking around but now it's just eh. The new teachers don't have the skill to teach higher level students which causes them to leave the studio and find a better place. The teaching method in here also isn't the best. It kind of feels like they're limiting your creativity. The class goes like this, you pick a drawing from the drawers based on your level and you copy it. That's it. I wish I could recommend this place but after everything, even I have moved on to find a better place.
