★★JasmineI've been going here for the past 6 ish years now ever since I was around 7 years old. (For reference I'm 13 right now) In that time, I have done chalk pastel, watercolor, sketching, and just started oil. Now I do love this place, but if I compared the studio to how it was pre-covid, I think the new teachers are just not it. Most of the pre-covid teachers who were actually passionate about teaching quit because the owner refuses to give them health insurance. After the last of the pre-covid teachers left, the vibe is not the same. It doesn't feel like the friendly, family-like studio it did before. Class used to be fun with the teachers joking around but now it's just eh. The new teachers don't have the skill to teach higher level students which causes them to leave the studio and find a better place. The teaching method in here also isn't the best. It kind of feels like they're limiting your creativity. The class goes like this, you pick a drawing from the drawers based on your level and you copy it. That's it. I wish I could recommend this place but after everything, even I have moved on to find a better place.
