The Silo (at Hunt Hill Farm)

So disappointed in the silo and I hate saying it. I got a gift card to get a cooking class and booked one. It was cancelled by the Silo last minute and they offered another class which I signed up for. They never actually signed me up for it. This was after someone who worked there told me personally they had done so. I then just asked for a refund. Twice they told me I was given a refund and twice nothing was provided. And now nobody will answer the phone when I call or respond to the multiple emails I’ve sent asking simply for a refund. So my husband, who got me the gift card, is out $280. And the Silo will not respond or provide us with the money back On a gift card or a credit card. Id say avoid Silo; so much unnecessary hassle and essentially being out a couple hundred dollars because of incredibly poor service.

Paid for a $250 gift certificate and cannot book a class online. It will not accept my booking number on the gift certificate. No one answers the phones and I have left many messages and not one has been returned. I think it’s a scam!

I am not a keyboard warrior/complainer but this was a disappointing , incredibly disorganized experience. We booked a Mexican cooking class as a Christmas present and went last night. There was next to zero instruction, a shortage of bowls, ingredients, and basic equipment, and recipes that didn't match the food ingredients that were put out for the taco portion of the meal. When the attendees who were trying to make homemade tortillas found the tortillas kept crumbling once in the pan, they made the recipe a second time. Still didn't work. The instructor was asked what was wrong and said, "I don't know." Huh? Do better, Silo. Don't invoke the great history of this place and then underdeliver. We met some lovely people. But for the $240 we spent, we'd have been better off going to Arethusa or Materia for dinner, and downloading a mole recipe off the internet. Disappointing all around.

Alessandro, thank you for the incredible experience I had with such a wonderful group of people. The memories I made here will last a lifetime. I’ll cherish the knowledge I gained and share it with my family and friends. The diverse array of flavors, especially the multiple cuts of meat and poultry, still tantalize my taste buds. And let’s not forget the garlic bread—it was beyond anything I’ve ever tasted, especially in the desert. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us.

We went to the Farmers market which is held on Saturday. I purchased absolutely fresh lionsmane mushroom and a perfectly sweet apple tart. Then I discovered the micrograms from Symbiosis! So incredibly fresh and full of vitamins... Go here! The music was a bit loud for my ears.
