Powered by GoogleAs someone who used to do shows here, this Theatre is by far the worst experience I've ever had with a theatre. I did a show here in 8th grade a few years ago and I think one of the main problems is that elementary school children shouldn't be mixed in with seniors in high school, some who are already adults. There's also the problem to where the show was EXTREMELY expensive, I think in the end, it wound up being around 650 to do the show as just to be in the show was around 250 if my memory serves me right, you had to pay to get their makeup which was about 25, you had to pay for your own costumes (some asking for very specific things so I did in fact have to buy new clothes), if you didn't sell 12 tickets you had to pay 200 dollars, and as someone who had just moved to the area, that was extremely difficult. There's also the thing where you're paying this much for a show where you don't get any time to improve or learn as you would in a paid show usually because there are around 80 kids in the musical, and in the end the same kids seem to get the lead in every show, as I also have a friend who did shows here for 6 years and never once got a role more than ensemble Overall, please stay away from this theatre, if you want a cheaper option there's Black Box Theatre in lebanon where there's only the one time fee and they cover your costumes and other items, they also don't make you pay a 200 dollar fee if you don't sell enough tickets, I also found the people to be a lot nicer there and other than the Spring show for Middle and Elementary school kids, the casts are usually smaller so you get a lot more one on one time.
We have been blessed to have been a part of The Point Theater family since 2006, starting with summer camp and now through a number of shows with both of our children. We love how TPT focuses on faith, love and inclusion. My husband LOVES working back stage too. God is good, all the time, and praising Him via theater with TPT has been glorious for our family.
We just love The Point Theater. Great, supportive environment for kids to gain self-confidence, find friends and cultivate a love of all things theater. Laura Baltz, founder and artistic director, truly has a heart for the kiddos and makes each and every one feel special. Highly recommended.
We love The Point! If you are looking for a safe and supportive place for your child to express some creative energy and make new friends, this is it. My daughter has been attending classes and performing in productions with TPT for several years. The teachers and directors got to know her right away and have cheered her on as she has grown. She's gotten to try all kinds of things: stage makeup, improv, singing, all styles of dancing, and more. She performs in both plays and musicals with confidence because the TPT directors have created a safe place for taking risks and being expressive. The shows are high-quality productions that include a beautiful range of children in age, skill, and talent. There's a place for everyone at The Point.
We love The Point Theater! Such a wonderful and loving Christian environment for my daughters. We appreciate the high quality and age appropriate productions. Excellent leadership team, always warm and welcoming. Fantastic musical theater training with a friendly atmosphere!
