The Pines is an overnight Catholic summer camp in Big Sandy, East Texas, running ten week-long sessions from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning for rising 2nd through 12th graders. Campers are grouped into Water Village (rising 2nd-5th), Branch Village (6th-8th) and Fire Village (9th-12th), and the week mixes traditional camp games and activities such as ziplining with a distinctly Catholic programme of frequent Mass, Adoration, a chapel and priests serving as chaplains. A single week is $950 with a $150 deposit; two-week stayovers for rising 9th-12th graders, a Counselor in Training programme and a Service Work Week are also offered, chartered buses run from Dallas, Austin, The Woodlands and Baton Rouge, and Camp Angel scholarships are available.

Powered by GoogleIt was really fun. Cabin 14 is horrible though. It's super cramped and it's most like sewage. And also I don't recommend for people of other religions because they do a lot of Catholic things
So well ran Great Experience Thank you
Been a long time fan of the Pines! Attended as camper & staff member. Awesome way to see people genuinely living out their faith while having fun.
We go there for winter camp and it was so fun! One of the girls there broke the zipline record for 5 times in a row and made it 6 times in a row! The dining hall is beautiful, the cabins are gorgeous, and overall the camp is amazing! Its a long walk to get from place to place, but worth it! Its super fun and brought me and my sibs closer to Christ! Highly recommend going there!!!
We’ve been to The Pines for multiple events for the last couple years and each time, we leave renewed in the faith, closer to each other, and planning our next trip! Go Pines!
