The Launch Pad Teen Center Prescott
Private
The Launch Pad Teen Center is a Prescott nonprofit teen center that runs themed summer camps and field-trip days for teens in Yavapai County. Offerings have included an art camp with local artists covering painting, pottery and photography, an 'artrepreneurship' camp on branding and selling creative work, and a five-day Summer Adventure Camp with tent camping at West Clear Creek covering swimming, shelter building and survival skills. Field-trip days travel across northern Arizona for rock climbing, Sedona swimming and Sunset Crater. Programs are aimed at teens rather than younger children.

Powered by GoogleTHIS PLACE IS 'AWFUUULL'! How dare this place help me through hard times! The audacity of giving me not one but two jobs!!?? In this economy!? I think NOT! And JUST WAIT, WAIT until I drop this bombshell of horrible, radical information... THAT THE WORKERS TRY THEIR ABSOLUTE HARDEST TO SUPPORT EVERYONE AS WELL AS HELP THE TEENS GROW! UNACCEPTABLE!! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! I love the launch. (If you're dense this 'hate' is just a joke)
Such a wonderful place for ALL teens (ages 12-18) to hang out after school for free! Huge art room with a massive amounts of supplies. A band room with instruments that anyone can play. A video game room with tons of games. They also provide clubs and workshops! Art, board games, garden, leadership, tutoring, and more! They go on several outdoor trips a year. Anything from week long canoe trips to overnight camping and a TON of day trips (think horse riding, mtn biking, rock climbing, kayaking and more!). Go explore it! Truly incredible staff and volunteer that support every person who walks through the doors. There is a cafe with delicious drinks and food. They train the teens to be cafe employees and a bunch of other work force development programs. Highly recommend!
Hi Reader/Bud, I am a former Prescott resident and supporter of all things for The People. This place (The Launch Pad) is one of the most wholesome non-profits I have ever come across. So much so that even my mother donates annually. I haven't visited The Launch Pad since the construction began a few years back. Recently, The Misses and our fur baby took a trip to Prescott, and it blew my mind how far along this organization has come! In overview, The Launch Pad is a comfortable and safe place. They have a vibrant and welcoming staff (Kianna makes excellent latte's and was very friendly; my family agrees). Oh yeah, they even have a coffee bar with a drip on tap that is far less bitter than others around town! ;)
A great place for teens to go after school, on weekends or any other time they need a place to go. They have a coffee bar with smoothies run by the teens. They have a music room, art room, gaming room and much more. A great addition to the Prescott community
Fantastic after school program and summer camps! Incredible staff, plenty of engaging activities, and even help with homework. A wonderful place for teens (and almost teens) to find guidance, support, encouragement, meet friends, and just hang out during such an important period of growth and development in their lives. The Launch Pad is an asset to our community and is highly recommended by this very involved mom. I can never thank the staff enough for all that they do for my children.
