I recently came to see a friend of mine in a show (The Olympians), and I was, frankly, appalled at what I saw while in attendance and what I learned after the fact. To begin with, the building itself was in terrible condition to the point of being downright hazardous. The temperature fluctuated between 83 and 91 degrees (I checked the thermostat!) the entire time, and the only accessible water had to be purchased from the concession stand. The only fan in the building was a comically small desk fan, positioned rather pathetically to point above the audience's heads. The "auditorium", a word which here I am using extremely generously, was a small room, taken up halfway by the stage, the rest of which could barely fit around 15 chairs. The front door was covered from the inside by a very heavy blackout curtain, which, if I'm not mistaken, is most definitely a fire hazard. On the topic of fire hazards, the ceiling over the stage had several missing and broken tiles, which allowed for tangles of exposed wires to hang down the walls and over the stage. During the show, around 15 minutes in, one of the stage lights began to malfunction, causing it to strobe for several minutes on end. I learned after the show that this malfunction caused one of the actresses to have a seizure backstage. The show WAS NOT STOPPED. There were also two points in the show where set pieces and props broke backstage (which was visible and audible to the entire audience). In one of these instances, a prop that the director was already aware had been malfunctioning broke and hit an actress, causing her to suffer a head injury. Once again, the show WAS NOT STOPPED. I am absolutely shocked at the sheer amount of danger these actors were put in. I would not return to see another show, I would not participate in one, and I would certainly not pay to have my children in this building, let alone in a production this hazardous.

SAFETY HAZARDS This was a terrible experience to say the least. I went to one of their latest shows (The Olympians) to support someone I'm related to. In that one show, here were my issues: -Seating was cramped, many people tripped walking around and the nearest exits were blocked -Lighting broke down and began strobing violently and uncontrollably, thus causing an actor to have a seizure who was then not given medical attention and was pushed onto the stage to continue preforming (show did not stop) -Holes in the ceiling exposing pipe leakage and wires -A different actor was hit on the head with a wooden plank and then also was pushed onto to stage, actively crying and was not given medical attention (show did not stop) -temperature of the building maintained above 83 degrees the entirety of the show and no fans or free access to water were available -Adult actors and minor actors were paired as love interests -Actors were regularly pushed onto the stage with a use of force There was a very clear lack of care for the actors and the safety of everyone in the building. Knowing from both an audience perspective and as a second hand source to the behind the scenes going on, I can say that the treatment and care that should always be present in a theatre or any professional setting was beyond absent. The people in charge there created hazards and violations that ended in injury and did not care to provided medical aid or assistance, nor did they provided compassion in any sense of the word. I would not go back there unless serious changes were made, beginning at safety being the number one priority.
