Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute (SSTI) is a four-week residential musical-theatre intensive for students in current 8th grade through 12th grade, admitted by video audition and cast before they arrive. Students spend about three weeks in eight-hour rehearsal days, six days a week, mounting a full professional-scale musical with New York directors, choreographers, and musicians, followed by a masterclass week of small-group college-audition coaching with university faculty. Participants live in private bedrooms in apartment-style housing and handle their own laundry, grocery shopping, and meal prep as part of the program's graduated-independence approach. Tuition for 2026 is $7,375 with 4-6 needs-based sponsorships awarded each summer; the 2026 season is staged at Beaufort High School while the company's Hilton Head Island venue is under construction, and a separate SSTI Tech track trains technical-theatre students.

What an incredible show, just amazing!!!! Don’t miss this show. Another hit for Ben Wolfe and all the talented people he brings to this Island!!
Whether you're looking for an amazing program for your student or a fantastic evening out, SSTI exceeded all our expectations. The production quality was top notch and it was hard to believe a young cast could create such magic on stage. The dancing, singing, and sets were all of the highest caliber.
This program was in my daughter's words "the best experience of her life.". She is eighteen and this is the first time she was really on her own. She grew and accomplished many things not only in her craft theater tech, but in some truly important life skills that was a major achievement for her. From the time she was notified on her 18 birthday that she was accepted into this program, until the day we picked her up from tear down, nothing has made her as happy as anything SSTI. Thank you Ben and amazing staff for providing such a fabulous program and a truly great experience for theater passionate youth.
SSTI is performing Catch Me if You Can at Hilton Head High School's Seahawk Cultural Center at 7:30 pm on June 24th, 25th, July 1st, and 2nd, as well as 2:00 on June 26th and July 3rd. Produced by Ben Wolfe and directed by Joe Barros (Associate Director of Broadway's Gigi), SSTI has brought together very talented youth from 26 states and 4 countries for their three summer productions. Be sure to see their very memorable performance of Catch Me if You Can!
