The Historic Sidney Theatre at 120 West Poplar Street runs a summer lineup of musical-theatre camps with workshops in acting, singing, dancing and crafts, each ending in a performance for families. Recent sessions included Squirm! for students entering grades 1-3, a half-day camp running 8am to noon; S'Cool for grades 6-8, a day camp running 9am to 4pm with a Friday evening performance and tuition of $100 for theatre members or $125 for non-members; and a free High School Musical Theatre Intensive that kicks off rehearsals for the summer production. Camps run in successive weeks in June at the restored downtown theatre.

Powered by GoogleExcellent production of Pride and Prejudice! Well played
I love that they are now using this for plays. We went to see A Christmas Carol and the cast nailed it. Can't wait to go back for Pride & Predjudice.
The Sidney Civic Orchestra gave a wonderful presentation the night I was there. The theater has moved right along with remodeling.
George Michael Reborn with Robert Bartko is a must see! A high energy performance with great engagement with the crowd! No lip syncing!
A true historic gem. We enjoyed the show, the seats had lots of leg room, they have snacks and even beer on tap. The women's bathroom is beautiful. The staff was super nice. Make sure to bring a sweatshirt or sweater however, the air is breezy and is cold in short sleeves.
