Powered by GoogleI love The Dance Academy!!! I have been involved with many other dance studios and TDA is by far the best environment. They really push dancers to be the best that they can be without pitting them against each other. It really does feel like a family here!
Last year, we switched our two daughters to The Dance Academy, and the difference has been incredible. The classes are focused and well-structured, with creative, fun dances and beautiful costumes. Our girls’ technique has truly blossomed. The teachers are exceptional—supportive, skilled, and able to keep classes engaged while encouraging each dancer’s growth. The studio radiates positive energy with a strong emphasis on confidence, positivity, and development. We couldn’t be happier with our experience as a new dance family.
Our experiences at The Dance Academy were really mixed. On one hand, the instructors were wonderful and kind and my kids loved them. Their experiences with actually learning to dance were good. On the other hand, my experience as a parent here was endlessly frustrating. Trying to get in contact with anyone was nearly impossible--I asked an instructor for help getting shoes for my child, and she left a note for the owner, who NEVER got back to us. I needed to talk with her about another issue, and every time I went to the studio to speak with her she wasn't there. I left multiple voice mails that were never returned. I also I experienced the same annoying situation as some other reviewers at a spring concert where I missed the information that we had two free tickets that could be picked up, but since I didn't physically pick them up from the office (that was unstaffed almost all the time) we had to pay $30 to see our child's concert, even though we already paid lesson fees and costume fees. When I expressed frustration with this, I received condescending and snarky responses from the people in charge. It was unbelievable to me that their system amounted to "come get tickets from an office that is rarely staffed because we have no way to digitally distribute tickets to parents whose contact information we already have." The difficulty of getting in contact with anyone who could actually answer questions was ridiculous, and I would recommend finding a studio that is better managed and more professional.
We love The Dance Academy! We have done both rec classes and comp classes alike and loved both. The rec/combo classes teach more than you would find at a typical dance studio which is so nice. I am especially happy with how tasteful the costumes are for recitals! My girls absolutely love coming to dance here. 🤩
We started at The Dance Academy about a year ago and have had a great experience so far. We've been happy with all the instructors. They are all so positive and kind, and really seem to genuinely care about all the dancers. Thanks for all you all do to help our dancers improve.
