Powered by GoogleWe love sldc and consider them our family! The teachers are amazing and highly qualified. The owner, Jillana is truly genuine and cares about each and every student. The environment is very uplifting, positive and kind. This studio produces a professional Christmas Show each year that is absolutely stunning and magical. There is a dance benefit concert each year that raises money for local charities. The professionally lighted spring concert at Kingsbury Hall is also something to look forward to. So grateful my daughters had the opportunity to train here where they learned the skills, technique and discipline to become professional and collegiate dancers and even more importantly the life lessons that will stay with them forever. ❤️
SLDC is an amazing place where your children grow and learn to do amazing things! Dancing is hard. The director and instructors care for and want your dancer to succeed, whether just for fun or to prepare for high school, college, or even a professional career. Proper technique starts from an early age and is key to that success - dancers most certainly learn the best technique (ballet is core). This studio is family and provides positive support while challenging dancers to accomplish things they could have only dreamed of.
This was the worst experience I have ever had. They handled the recital this year so poor. They were running more than 30 min ahead of the schedule they gave us and told everyone that they were running 5 min. Then when we were early for our curtain call they had already performed and not let my daughter perform. If you want your child to have a good experience don't expect fair treatment unless they are part of their company teams. Plus their prices are completely over the top. We paid 150 for just recital fees and were only able to perform 1 of her dances which we will also have to pay $35 for the DVD to even see the performance. So don't expect to have any money left when your done taking classes here.
The Christmas production and year end recital are professionally done, it shows great directorial leadership!
My daughter has been attending since she was 4. This place is a big family and I'll be sad when my daughter moves on as she grows up. This ballet group performs at Kingsbury hall for their recitals. They preform at Jeanne Wagner Theatre for a Christmas show named, "The Night Before Christmas"'.
