Powered by GoogleBeen coming here my whole life, just brought our 3 kids and my 2 nephews who 4/5 of them have all rode the slides before. Show up today and apparently they changed the rules in the past few days in height requirements and no riding doubles with an adult. Lifeguards on top of the slide was incredibly rude about our, and other people’s questions about the abrupt change. Changing this after so many years should have been displayed. I won’t be going back anytime soon.
My favorite community pool because the jacuzzi and therapy pool is 18 and over only! The slide is the fastest and most fun of any other I've been too. Although I got a little queasy after 5 rides down, I'm just not as young as I used to be. The only thing that would make this place better is clothes spin dryers, had to carry my soaking swimsuit out in 10 degree weather. I love the game room and lounge area that you can observe the pool or just relax and read a book in too.
This is an amazing facility with some incredible and enthusiastic staff. They are quite adamant about rules in the pool which is great because I feel safe if my children are playing away from us. Climbing was a bit different. Gabe and Caleb(sorry if I got the name wrong) are also amazing individuals and extremely helpful. I would ask that periodically the people on belay get checked for proper belay technique. I do get that this can be quite challenging as it gets busy. Mostly I want to thank everyone at the Teton County Recreation Center for being an amazing person. If we are coming through jackson again we will absolutely stop to say hello. Thanks again!
Realistically, they are significantly overstaffed and under equipped for things in the gym. Most of the staff outside of the janitorial workers who do a really good job. Most people just sit on their phones. There is no bench press, there is no squat rack, there is no deadlift section. The free weights only go to 75lbs. So they really limit a lot of their opportunity for heavier lifters and obviously new people by overstaffing and under equipping the weight sections. They also don't allow a 24-hour passes which also hurts them. Realistically they run this place semi-poorly. Even my small town had 24-hour access pass, twice the equipment and also cost less per month and ran really good deals. This place cost $153 for 3 months and you cannot buy anything less.
Awesome kind staff, and clean facility. Showers available, as well as a climbing area! Sadly we didn’t get to use sauna/steam room cuz they were out of order, but I stayed busy finishing my workout with a long bike session - they have so much available compared to how busy they get I didn’t have to wait on any machines:)
