I find it hard to agree with any of the negative reviews here, this place is incredible. I surprised my fiance with a stay at The Sylvan Lodge at Snake River Sporting Club on January 10th, and got engaged near the clubhouse! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this property and the exceptional staff who made our stay unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, every single team member went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. Diana in concierge was absolutely incredible—her attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference in bringing this moment to life. From her initial response to my email a week prior, I had a great feeling this location was going to be the best choice. Will graciously gave me a comprehensive site tour without hesitation a few days prior, helping me select the perfect location. Jessica and Charlotte helped coordinate our proposal evening and support it perfectly, while also managing other large events that same day, making me feel like we were still a major priority. And Matt, the thoughtful gift he left for us after our proposal was such a touching gesture that we'll always remember. The level of service here goes beyond professional; they treat guests with care on a personal level. Every staff member we encountered seemed genuinely invested in making our stay extraordinary, and they succeeded beyond our wildest expectations. The Sporting Club provided the perfect backdrop for one of the most important moments of our lives, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. If you're considering this property for a special occasion or just a memorable getaway, don't hesitate. This place, and the people, are truly something special I cannot find an equal comparison for with many of the other top tier resorts I have stayed at.

As someone who cares about how people are treated, especially during a time as meaningful and emotional as planning a wedding, I feel compelled to share our experience so other couples do not go through the same frustration. My fiancé and I had a wonderful initial tour with Sebastian who was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately every interaction that followed with the events & lodge team was the opposite. Communication was delayed, abrupt, and at times shockingly rude. Even simple questions were treated like inconveniences, which was disheartening. On top of that, pricing changed without any proactive communication and only surfaced when we pushed for clarity. The overall tone and approach made us feel unwelcome and unvalued, which is something no couple should ever feel when choosing a venue for such an important milestone. I am sharing this out of compassion for anyone considering this property. If you value kindness, transparency, and a team that treats you with basic respect, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are many incredible venues where couples are supported from the very first conversation. Unfortunately this was not our experience here.

Everything was perfect. We stayed in a cabin, and it was beautifully appointed and comfortable for our 5-night stay. The entire staff worked hard to make sure everything was perfect for us. They escorted us around the property without hesitation, never had their hand out for a tip, and were very kind and attentive. I had a massage at the spa that was heavenly and the relaxation room with hot tub and water feature was the best way to spend an afternoon. On the way in, we spotted a heard of Elk and on the way out we saw 2 baby Moose! We can't wait to be back!

Outstanding Accommodations! This was exactly what I needed, a true get away into a beautiful mountainous landscape. The hospitality team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, I can not say enough good things about the staff, Thank you! Breakfast at the club overlooking the golf course and snake river was a treat every morning. The onsite horseback riding was very enjoyable walking along the property and snake river. We loved being able hang out by the pool during the day, enjoy a nice read, cool plunge and great food. The golf course was immaculate, extremely well cared for and attended. Beautiful and peaceful. Thank you again

This place is a not only top notch with the best of service, but it was literally like I was playing golf inside a portrait. Words can't describe how beautiful this experience was. On top of that the chicken pita they delivered to me on the course might have been the best I've ever had. Went 2 days in a row and loved it.
