A ceramics studio and gallery on Chicago Avenue in Oak Park, in operation over 40 years, running a large summer camp program for ages 5-16. Campers learn wheel throwing and hand building, make functional pots and decorative clay work, then decorate with underglazes and glazes; morning sessions (9am-noon) serve ages 5-9 and afternoon sessions (1-4pm) serve ages 10 and up. The studio also runs after-school programs, classes, parties and gallery exhibitions.

We came in this morning about 10 minutes late and were concerned since we had not heard any calls about our class. A student had greeted us and let us in. She was kind enough to help us out and got the owner. Turns out the studio just got a new owner 2 weeks prior and there had been some miscommunication with our appointment. The new owner Francis was very kind and called our teacher, Belen, and she was able to come in. We were taken care of and we ended up having such a great date with this class. Our instructor Belen did such a fantastic job in helping us and is a wonderful teacher. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, we had an amazing experience where we not only had fun but learned about pottery. I recommend anyone interested in pottery to try the intro to wheel class. It is such an engaging and relaxing experience.
