Davis Recreation Center is Roanoke Rapids' municipal parks-and-recreation center, which runs a series of short half-day (typically 9am-noon) summer camps for kids rather than a single all-summer program. ★★★★Logan OakleyGreat place to go for recreational use. They have a large swimming pool and plenty of space to park. Baseball games here are always fun to attend. Outdoor bathrooms are small bathrooms but decent. Indoor bathrooms are very nice and they have showers for those who use the pool.

Glad to see Roanoke Rapids invest in the recreation center. But I do miss "Festival in The Park" which was an annual summer event here when I was a kid with games, vendors, and performances and music. Would love to see that return, even if only occasionally.
★★★★★Kasey BooneIts the only thing in town for the kids !!!! Its great for them to have a nice place to go to have some fun!!! They have a indoor and put door pool!!! A nice new skate park! They have a tennise court on the back side! They also have a field on the right side! The staff is very friendly! They have baskets ball hoops inside for the kids as well as a nice gym area for the adults and teens I am sure!
