Halifax County Coop Ext Srv

The 4-H Rural Life Center in Halifax is the site of Halifax County 4-H's summer day camps, run by N.C. Cooperative Extension's Halifax County Center. Seven themed week-long day camps run from early June to the end of July for youth ages 6 to 14, with 2026 themes covering Hero, Olympic, Science, Art, Around the World, Chef and Aquatic weeks. Weeks mix hands-on activities with a Friday field trip to sites such as a science museum, a bird park, a creamery or a trampoline park, each carrying a separate $15-$25 charge. Camp is $55 per week, transportation with published pick-up points is offered, current-year 4-HOnline enrollment is required, and a limited number of scholarships covering a full week are awarded each spring.
