By far, SUMMERS BEST 2 WEEKS is the best experience of a faith filled camp we have ever experienced. My kids LOVE SB2W ! in the middle of winter, my 16 year old daughter says, "I miss camp." They teach "God 1st, others 2ed, me 3rd" No phones, no candy/home brought "snacks"..food is plentiful and delicious. I wish I knew of SB2W when I was a kid! Our daughter will probably come back as a college counselor..
I went here for about 8 years as a child, I am now in my 30's and I send my children. It is a Christian sports camp, so make sure that aligns with what your child is interested in. Every day is filled with different sports, activities like kayaking, canoeing, archery, swimming, sailing, crafts, etc. and Bible studies. There are many other things like climbing walls, zip line, huge water slide, blob, high ropes course, trampoline and rec center to keep the campers active and having fun. This is a great camp for trying new things and learning more about yourself and your own strengths as a child/teen. As long as it aligns with your beliefs and the campers interests it really is the best camp! I still have many fond memories of attending camp here as a kid and I am glad my kids are now making their own SB2W memories.
My son has attended the last 2 years and he really loves it. It’s a gorgeous property with wonderful counselors and campers. He already told me he wants to go again next year. He had homesickness on night 2 but after that he was great. I asked him what his favorite part was and it’s always the food. Haha! Growing boy. It’s scary to trust others with your child but they’ve done a great job nurturing him. I wish I could be a kid again so I could attend. It looks so fun! Thank you, SB2W!
We received a very warm greeting from the staff. Everyone from counselors to the camp hospital staff were very organized and friendly. There is a wow factor right when you park your car: lake, zipline, climbing wall, cabins, in-ground trampolines! This is our family's first time at SB2W, but its reputation precedes itself. Needless to say there is much excitement from our 9 year old! Here's for an exciting kick-off to summer!
