★★★★Ilo KratinsI love the "casual clay" evenings every other Thursday. The place is mostly, almost entirely, geared towards children, but every other week for a couple hours, adults can get their hands sticky in a low-key, no stress environment of other nice people also having fun at the same time in the same way. Fun for groups, but better make advance plans with them, if you want to be seated together. Don't expect a class. It's clay, it's lovely, friendly staff, it's for you to experiment. Make something lumpy, make something expert, but make something with your hands. Pinch pots, coil construction, slab, but no wheels. If you're any good at ceramics, you'll probably already go elsewhere.

Awesome staff who help you through the process. Bring a friend or chat with others in a very friendly crowd (looks primarily 18+). If you're looking for a low key way to explore clay and see if the medium is for you, this is a perfect and inexpensive way to do it before investing in a several hundred dollar class series somewhere else. It's handbuilding/small sculpture (no wheel). Not a formal class but basic instruction is offered before you get started and their staff is knowledgeable if you need help. You make your piece/pieces on one night then you come back on the next clay studio night to glaze your piece (about a month for firing). $30/3 hours, clay and glaze included. They have brushes and basic modeling tools.
