The Steele Creek Park Nature Center, a two-story 8,000-square-foot City of Bristol facility at 4 Little Lane devoted to Southern Appalachian natural history, runs week-long nature camps each summer led by park naturalists. Camps are half-day, 8:30am to noon Monday-Friday, and are split by age: ages 7-9 study weather, insects and general nature discovery, while ages 10-12 take ecology, geology and paleontology, and mushrooms. Registration is online through the city's recreation portal.
