Camp Hope of East TN is a free Christian camp on 150 acres at 1069 Old Union Road near Church Hill, founded in 2012 by Hope Community Church of East Tennessee. There is no charge to campers: it is a 501(c)(3) with an all-volunteer administrative staff, and it has served hundreds of children a summer, most from Hawkins County. A week at camp includes horseback riding, hiking, archery, river tubing, ziplining, swimming, arts and crafts, octoball, dodgeball, kickball and team-building.
