Sports Academy Gymnastics is a veteran-owned, family-operated gym in a 16,000-square-foot facility off Highway 116 in Beaufort, between Laurel Bay and MCAS Beaufort, open since 1995. Its summer camp splits by age: a preschool camp for ages 3-4 meeting 8:00 a.m. to noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and an all-day camp for ages 5 and up running 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with optional aftercare until 5:00 p.m. Each week carries a theme, such as Mickey and Friends, Christmas in July or Safari week.
