Space Coast Crew is a nonprofit youth rowing organization for grades 5-12 that rows on the Banana River from a boathouse at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach. Its summer Learn to Row camp (about 10am-12:30pm) and High School Developmental camp (7am-9:30am) run week-long sessions introducing basic rowing and shell handling. Weeks run about $200 each.

Powered by GoogleHorrible experience Lot of bullies. The other kid were well off and would try to toss my kids water bottle into river and call him names We felt like it was inbred or they chase us out We are from up north and noticed there is no diversity in this group either. So sad The admin isn’t fair or open minded
SCC is one of the best organizations in rowing, leadership and wins! The staff and volunteers work hard to make this the best experience for our young adult rowers. We are 3 years in and counting. It takes a Village and let’s continue to make it stronger, better and keep the standards high.
My granddaughter is on the Space Coast crew Junior high team. It has been such an excellent year with fantastic coaches and fantastic athletes. I have really seen her grow over the year I look forward to many years of crew and exciting regattas in the future! Thanks to all the coaches who dedicate themselves to the team!
My daughter has been in organized team sports since the age of 4 and SCC has been, by far, the best experience of all of them. Great coaching staff, a great group of kids and supportive families. It provides teenagers an opportunity to develop leadership skills, life skills and wonderful friendships.
My family is exceedingly thrilled with Space Coast Crew. We were looking for a healthy alternative to other contact sports or activities that might lead to head injury, so we visited SCC. After doing a camp my oldest son was hooked!!! The team was open and inviting. Every athlete was given opportunity to participate and compete. The parents were welcoming to newcomers too. My son lost 50 pounds his first year and was strong and healthy. My second child, who was not much for athletics, also tried the team and found his groove. Finally a sport both kids could do together!!! We have now been members of SCC for 6 years. I cannot say enough positive things about the rowers, coaching staff, and parents.
