After being with the club for 4 and 1/2 years I can honestly say it has not been great and they are certainly not as "premiere" as they claim they are, just play in the premiere league in the area that's it. We played GA last year and our home matches were on different fields throughout the year so we had NO home field advantage. At one point we practiced with 2 other teams on one field and all year most nights we did not have a full field by ourselves to practice! That is not premiere. All the other GA teams we played had their own complexes some even locker rooms for their teams. Surf has none of that. You practice at all different locations, you play your home matches at different locations there is no set location at all which leads to not knowing the field you are playing on for your home matches aka no home field advantage. Andy really built the girls program up before left 3 years ago-ish. But the last 3 years have not been good on the girls side which is indicative of who took over for Andy. The 3 oldest GA teams are 3-13-3 to start this season and they are the ONLY teams on the entire Girls Academy schedule that does not have their home match location listed. Sorry, but that is sad and it is not "premiere". Coaching is sub-par, at best, especially for our team last year. All he did was play out of the back, play out of the back, well at that level when that is ALL you do it leads to the other team pressing which creates turnovers and goals all season long. It was brutal. I would get into more specifics, but I would just being going on and on because honestly it was bad last year. Many say in the reviews pay to play blah, well not far off to be honest, but more accurate is who you know between the board and others. Get cozy with them and you're fine. So.... they are not as "premiere" as they claim, again, they just play in the top leagues in the area.

Worst Club Management there is in the Charleston Area. Training is inadequate and the Boy's Director needs a new profession. Don't waste your money on this club. You can buy your kid' play time on the top team. The board of directors have no power and the boy's director makes all of the decisions. A person who has never played high level soccer. Just ask all of the coaches (X-professional players) in the area who refuse to work for the club.

Our family has been associated with Mount Pleasant soccer and more specifically USA Mount Pleasant for 18 years. All three of our kids played in the program with two of them moving on to play collegiately. It has been not only a huge part of our lives, but a great teacher of life lessons. The coaching staff dedicates itself to the player first to give them the best possible training environment for their ability, desire and talents. I would strongly recommend the club to anyone looking to start at an early age or transfer from another club they may have outgrown.

My son has played with the Club for around 6 years. It has been a great experience. We are so grateful to the amazing coaches that have shared their expertise and encouragement not only on the field with technical skills and strategy, but off the field as well for personal nutrition and fitness and positive life skills in general. We feel that he has received high level training. And the experiences of playing at the regional and national tournament level will never be forgotten. We appreciate the fact that the club has always focused on player development and not just wins. I would highly recommend United Soccer Academy to anyone interested playing competitive soccer.
