Powered by GoogleSkylake Yosemite Camp has been a life-changing experience for our daughter, who has attended for two consecutive years. Each time she returns home, she's brimming with self-confidence, incredible stories, and deep friendships that seem to grow stronger with each summer. The camp's environment is not only safe and nurturing but also wonderfully adventurous, allowing her to explore and develop in ways that school simply can't offer. The activities are diverse and engaging, and the staff is phenomenal—truly dedicated to creating a memorable experience for every camper. Our daughter is already counting down the days until she can go back next year and continually asks to extend her stay to a full month. Skylake has become such an integral part of her summer that we can't imagine her being anywhere else. We highly recommend this camp to any family looking for an unforgettable and enriching summer experience.
Skylake is a 5-star, sensational camping experience. Our three children have been attending annually for 8 years now, and consider it their "home away from home." They typically attend for a two week session and have consistently returned thrilled, having tried many new activities, having loved their counselors and made many new, great friends. Activities include: Horses, Archery, Paddle Boarding, Swimming in the Lake, Banana Boats, Biking, Rock Climbing, and Tomahawk Toss. Our kids report that the food is great, the songs and campfires are fun, the activities are great and there is nothing about it that they don't love. As a parent, it is easy to stay in touch...the Director (who is wonderful) posts a detailed summary each day on their password protected website of what is happening at Camp each day, and about 100 candid photos are posted each day to show what is going on around the Camp. The pictures are a great way to (sometimes) see candid shots of your kids and still feel in touch. The kids are able to get letters everyday and larger "care packages" once a week so you can stay in touch. We have interacted with the owners, nurse, and camp management on several occasions and have been impressed every time. These folks are great professionals! We will continue to send our kids to this remarkable Camp and commend Skylake for being such an oasis. Keep up the great work! Skylake is a dream...a 5-star camping experience!
My daughter absolutely loves Skylake! She has attended for many years, and each year seems to get better and better. It is "traditional" in the best possible ways: no cell phones, no wifi, campfire songs, rustic (but clean and comfortable!) cabins. Located in a beautiful location with abundant indoor and outdoor activities.
We were looking for an “east coast style” summer camp and found Skylake online and could not be happier. My 11yo daughter started when she was 7 and hasn’t missed a summer yet. Last year her younger brother joined, and in two more years their little sister will go too. The month they spend each summer on Bass Lake outside of Yosemite is magical and timeless. They have the most delightful adventures and come back two inches taller, with new friends and confidence and independence. They look forward to it all year and I think it is the most valuable thing we do for them.
Skylake is amazing. When I was younger, I went there and loved it - but nothing is better than hearing my daughter talk about the things that I loved about it now that she has gone. She can't wait to go back next year! Skylake is her favorite place in the world, already. Skylake has an amazing staff, an amazing location, amazing activities...I wish I could go back, but for now, I'll keep living through my daughter!
