Showcase Dance Centre, open since 2003 at 7800 Stevens Mill Road in Matthews, teaches tap, ballet, hip hop and jazz to children, teens and adults across recreational and competitive levels. It runs four weeks of themed summer dance camps, including an Under the Sea camp for ages 3-9 that mixes dance classes with crafts, obstacle courses and games, a musical theatre camp for ages 7-13 that covers mock auditions, acting and singing and ends in a performance for families, and a K-Pop themed camp for ages 3-9.

But she loves dancing so we wanted to try this dance studio based on reviews. We did the trial class and let me tell you, she went in so nervous almost teary eyed but the dance instructor is ABSOLUTELY amazing. She took the time to work with my daughter and could tell when she was getting Overstimulated and hard on herself for not getting something immediately. She is the king of person you want teaching your kids and she has the best energy as do the other dance instructors from what I saw. The entire staff are so kind and welcoming and walk you through everything you need to know as well as answer an ly question you have. After my daughter had her moment of distress and the instructor helped she was having fun and learning and asking for help and smiling so much. She wanted to join after that and so we did. We are excited to be apart of such an amazing place that builds kids up.

The front desk staff is SO nice and welcoming. I signed up to take on more classes (they offer tap as well). No matter your age or experience, I highly recommend this studio!
