Shippensburg University Summer Camps
Mount Saint Joseph High School
Summer sports and academic camps run by Shippensburg University, where campers work directly with university coaches, student-athletes, faculty and staff. Day and overnight options run across basketball, volleyball, field hockey, soccer, softball and track and field, alongside a Chemistry Camp for ages 8-11 in which campers perform experiments connecting chemistry to everyday life, and a Leaders in Training camp. Individual camps are age- or grade-specific, spanning ages 8-18 and grades 2-12, with separate boys' and girls' sessions in several sports and an elite-level field hockey camp. Commuter campers' fees include lunch, and dining services accommodate allergies as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.

★Buklao SmithI would not recommend going to the Shippensburg Rec Center…. ESPECIALLY if you are alumni or a CURRENT staff member. First, I was treated very rudely by one of the student front desk workers who had called me a very disrespectful name. Second, apparently Ship Rec is still stuck in the 70’s as they only accept cash or check. Lastly, even though alumni spent thousands upon thousands of dollar to attend the university, or staff members who volunteer their time to benefit the students at the university, you still have to pay a very hefty membership for a workout facility that is very outdated. I am very displeased by the Shippensburg Rec Center.

★★★Jaime BouderGreat facilities but terribly overpriced if you are not actively in a class like over the summer or winter breaks. You pay for it regardless in your tuition but still have to pay ridiculous prices to get in during breaks. Also not free for grad students which is very disappointing.
