I have been a member for 20 years. My kids learned to swim here. Someone from my family is here almost every day. This is a community gem and we are lucky to have the YMCA of Hagerstown!

We really enjoy the YMCA because of the programs they offer and the gym is typically pretty open so machines are available and just a nice atmosphere.

I had a great experience at this YMCA. There is a lot of exercise equipment that you can use. I'm from Delaware, and got surprised with a legal disclaimer, but it was okay. Love the solar panel canopies

I've been a member of this facility since Sept 2023 when I moved here and have had a great experience overall from staff, cleanliness, fitness room, lifeguards. Everyone at front desk is friendly, happy, helpful and consistent. Brian in particular brings so much joy and positive energy and hearing his fitness journey was inspiring and very similar to mine. Malalai greets me every single time I walk through the doors and we would chat a bit. The staff is consistently wiping down the machines and mopping the floors, they always have a smile on their faces and really make the experience of working out enjoyable. I love how they show appreciation to the veterans as well with flags posted outside and signs. This is by far the best group of staff I've ever seen.

Organization has improved some, but isn't the greatest and poor communication, specifically from the sporting director who hasn't returned any emails. Also, they pretty much let you make your own ball team by requesting to be on this person and that person's team, which isn't fair to others. I can understand if they're siblings, but this isn't the case.
