Shenandoah Valley Art Center is a nonprofit community art center in Waynesboro, established in 1985, that runs weekly children's classes and summer art camps alongside its galleries. Recent summer offerings include Animal Art Exploration for ages 6-10, meeting four mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and using 2D and 3D materials, and a Kids Clay Camp covering hand-building and wheel-thrown projects at all skill levels. Camps are taught by working local artists and enroll session by session.

Lovely place to get lost in the visual & soulful respite of art. Besides a gallery & gift shop, there are numerous working studios open to the public. The local artists on site were friendly & willing to share their visions & passion for their art.
Visiting from out of town and just looking for things to do /places to buy souvenirs. Picked up a magnet and an original water color. Was nice to be able to talk with other fellow artists as well.
Two-story with elevator! An artist cooperative. With shows from outside artists. Studios upstairs to walk through and purchase items from. Such a wide selection. Gift shop, gallery, and meeting place.
Beautiful little home converted into an art gallery and studio spaces upstairs. I got to visit during the watercolor art show and it was really fun to see all the beautiful pieces that were submitted. While I was there I also got to chat with a local artist in her studio. There’s also a lovely little gift shop with lots of locally made items. Everyone was very warm and welcoming.
