Foster Art is an art studio in Charlottesville, Virginia that runs weekly summer art day camps for kids ages 5-12 from June through August, founded in 2023 by longtime local art teacher Molly Foster. Its process-based, themed camps let campers explore painting, drawing, sculpture and free-choice projects, closing each week with a Friday gallery walk. Most camps run 9am-3pm with drop-in options, and the studio welcomes neurodiverse learners.

The staff was prepared when we arrived and even contributed to her birthday theme with a customized digital birthday sign and decorations. Even the art incorporated her birthday theme along with her fairy/potion project she wanted. They even had playdoh and a toddler area for our 2-year old ready to go and made her feel included! I highly recommend Foster Art for a fun, relaxed birthday experience for littles! We will definitely be going back.
★★★★★Kadee HWe celebrated an 8th birthday party here, we chose the slime making party. The space was clean, welcoming and very fun. There were two assistants that were there to host the party and help make the slime and they were fabulous. Very sweet, helpful and warm! They definitely had the kindness & patience to work with 11 young girls! There were additional activities to do while we waited for all of the guests to come and I thought that was a great idea and the girls loved coloring and decorating bookmarks. I am sure we will host another creative birthday here in the future. Loved being able to bring our cake and small snack type food into the space without extra charges.
