School of Rock Vancouver runs week-long summer music camps that put kids into bands. Rock 101 is for beginners ages 8-13 with no experience needed, exploring bass, drums, guitar, keys and vocals through musical games and activities, while themed camps such as Classic Rock Rewind (ages 12-18) teach the songs, history and stagecraft of a rock era. Campers work on songs Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the week ends with a concert for family and friends. Camps cost $550; campers bring lunch, snacks, water and hearing protection, and the location is nut-free.

Powered by GoogleSchool of Rock is an amazing program for all ages. You can learn any instrument you want through private lessons and performances at real gigs. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable and can help you with anything music related. The community is amazing and it is overall an great place to go.
The SoR experience has been incredible for our son. From his weekly lessons and seasonal camps to the Performance and House Band programs, we’ve seen him grow immensely. He has become so much more confident in his playing, made a great group of friends, and has even formed an original band with a few of his SoR bandmates. We can’t say enough about the positive impact the entire SoR curriculum has had on his musical and social development.
My son's bass guitar progress has exploded since joining School of Rock in Vancouver WA about 7 months ago. The staff are truly dedicated to their students and they go above and beyond what I think is expected of them. The value of learning music through performance can't be beat. There is no substitute for playing music with others in a band environment to really see marked progress. The value per hour of instruction at School of Rock is actually less expensive than the private 1/2 hour per week lesson at the previous Vancouver, WA school my son attended. School of Rock in Vancouver, WA, ROCKS!!, pun intended.
Our whole family loves School of Rock! 🎶❤️😃 My 11-year-old daughter has been taking drums here for almost 6 months (both group and private lessons) and absolutely loves it. She was shy about joining the group as a new student, but the environment is so encouraging and positive that she quickly stopped worrying and started genuinely enjoying playing with other kids, regardless of skill level. Her confidence has grown tremendously, and she's learned so fast! My 16-year-old son has been taking piano for the same time period, and we love his teacher too. I've even filled in for a couple of his lessons when he had last-minute high school sports conflicts, and I was amazed at how much I enjoyed it and learned - including music theory I never got as a kid! The best part? We all get to learn and play classic rock songs we actually know and love. I enjoyed the lessons so much that I've started taking them regularly myself, so I can play along with my kids. The teachers are supportive, skilled, and flexible - especially when you have a favorite song you really want to learn. I highly recommend School of Rock for both group and individual lessons. It's been an incredible experience for our entire family!
School of Rock in Vancouver was such a positive experience for my kiddo. (Age nine) She did the Rock 101 camp over the summer and we can’t wait to get her into the yearly program. She was supported the whole way, even though she can be a bit shy, and ended up being the lead singer for multiple songs at the end of week performance. She came home beaming each day and still wears her camp shirt more than we probably want to admit. Thank you, SoR!
