The Virginia Tech School of Architecture runs Explore Architecture, a design camp for students in grades 9-12, held June 21-27 out of Cowgill and Burchard halls on the Blacksburg campus. Campers can attend as overnight or day campers, or take a virtual session instead of the Blacksburg one. Students get their own desk in the same shared studio space Virginia Tech architecture students use and work through design exercises, lectures, discussions and tutorials, with collaborative tools meant to build community between participants.
