I worked with the Facility Manager, Mackenzie Bertrand on a reservation for a surprise birthday party for my dad. She was wonderful to work with and accommodating. I highly recommend the Savoy Rec Center for your next reservation!!!

I reserved this location 3 months in advance for a baby shower. I was informed after I had sent my invites out, that the chairs for my event wouldn't be available because another party reserved before me, would be using them. So the manager Mackenzie referred me to a place to rent chairs. I was not happy, or willing to spend more money doing that. "I" was able to get our time pushed back, and get the chairs an hour before my event started, if the other party was done using them. (Luckily they came sooner than expected...yay) I was also given money off of my bill for the inconvenience, because "I" asked. 2 weeks before the event I emailed Mackenzie to make sure we were all set for the shower, and to ask for a few more round tables. She informed me the round tables would not be available. The other event that reserved before me would be using them. Mind you, she confirmed my round tables back when I reserved, and if I had not emailed her about this, I would not have known until the day of the event. I was very upset. She told me to return my table cloths because she was able to do that before with a party she had hosted. She was unapologetic in regards to the inconvenience, told me I was rude and disrespectful for suggesting that she must have never given a party before. WOW! Long story short, my daughter in law went up there, spoke to the director Nick, and he assured her we would get the round tables. During the event the air stopped working. So we were hot and sweating the rest of the shower. When I mentioned this to her after the shower in an email, she said that the air went out. No apologies, no accommodations for yet another inconvenience. My experience with this place was horrible. The room was great in appearance, besides the air not working. But the manager was not very accommodating with issues that arose during this planning. I do not plan to give my business to them anymore. Good luck to you all that choose to.
