Camp Granada - ADA
American Diabetes Association - National Office (Accredited Camps)
Camp GranADA is an American Diabetes Association residential camp for children with diabetes, held at the 4-H Memorial Camp near Monticello, Illinois. Campers spend the week building independence in managing blood glucose, insulin, eating and activity while doing traditional camp activities including swimming, crafts, basketball, fishing, archery and campfires. A camp team of licensed clinicians provides round-the-clock medical care, and a Counselor-in-Training track runs for 16- and 17-year-olds. The ADA subsidises half the full price for every family and offers additional need-based assistance, stating that no child is turned away from camp because of cost.
