Powered by GoogleI did the synchronized swimming for 2 years I was there and I was treated well for my first year and half and a the other half we had a coach named Coach Nikki and she is such and absolutely rude coach she constantly was picking on me and my friends and took a role as victim and as for today I wanted to join the team again and she constantly was picking told my mother I was not good and not a good fit and said I would have to be with little girls half my age and I was shocked and absolutely devastated that I could not join the team I was once on I knew from the day I wanted to start again I would not be on a high level or where I was before but I did not know a coach could be so rude and unkind about a child and she kept telling my mother I was not good for this and was complaining about my abilities that lady has been after me and my friend since the day I met her she never liked me the WORST coach I have EVER had I do not recommend this team unless Nikki is gone or had no say in what you do absolutely terrible lady nothing good to say about her other than that terrible coach Erin and coach Ruth were the best coaches if Nikki was gone I could go back to a sport I once loved she is such and absolute dream crusher.
Excellent outdoor facility with two pools for lane swimming including a 50 m pool. 6 lanes 25 yards long and 8 lanes 50 m long. Soon, there will be a third pool. Sea water, clean, 78F year around water temperature. Warm showers and lockers. Excellent programs including Swim Masters in the morning plus open swim Monday through Saturday 11:00-1:00 for $8 each time or $75 per month. There is no better swimming facility in Sarasota. PS (Added 5/12/2026) The facility has now a 3rd new pool 25 yards x 25 meters with a depth ranging from 4 ft to 5ft, and the water is a bit warmer around 80F-82F. It is being used either for lap swimming or for swimming lessons to 2nd graders.
Dropped in for a Masters practice this morning while here on vacation. Coach Erica and the team made me feel so welcome! The facility was fantastic. I can’t wait to swim here again! Thank you Selby Sharks!
I swim at meets all over the country for fun. If I was retired and had flexibility to move anywhere, I’d seriously consider the area just to be near this pool. It is crazy to me to see how many lanes there are, the local group was able to support an entire meet with one competition pool and one warm down pool (one Olympic pool split by bulkhead), and still have another pool open to the public at the same time. The meet was run better than any I’ve attended before too, water temp was perfect. The teams also have equipment like bands, weights, etc as dry land training tools.
What is nice facility. I wish I lived in Sarasota to swim here every day.
