A San Antonio survival swim school founded in 2022 and owned and operated by Gabriela Mills, certified through the Survival Swim Development Network and in Red Cross adult and pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED. Lessons teach young children to roll onto their backs, float and breathe, and progress toward swimming as age allows, using a gentle child-development-based approach. Instruction is delivered as short, frequent lessons on weekdays, not as a camp session.

Powered by GoogleMrs. Gabi is amazing!! Highly recommend. When we started we had some hard group experiences to overcome. Our son was hesitant to get his face wet altogether. After 6 week course he can swim far distances, roll over to breath, float and find the closest stairs or wall to grab on to. So glad we gave individual classes a shot. Ms. Gabi was patient, attentive, and partnered with us to help our kiddo become calm, comfortable and confident in the water. No earplugs or floaties needed.
Ms. Gabby is a very patient and friendly teacher. She helped my 4 year old feel comfortable in the water and to no longer be afraid of the water. Over the course of the lessons my daughter was able to learn all the skills of safe swimming and learn how to swim and float! Her pool is nicely shaded in the summer and perfect for kids learning to swim. We used Ms. Gabby for a second year and my 3 year old son also successfully learned how to swim and float over the 6 week course. Her encouragement and patience and clear instruction made each lesson productive and enjoyable. My daughter’s swimming skills improved during this second year and both my kids loved going to swim class.
We started swimming with Ms. Gabby when my son was about a year old back in Houston! She taught him how to survive in the water by teaching him how to float on his back, swim to the edge of the pool, and climb out of the pool. Every single time we went to our community pool, people were absolutely amazed at how little my son was and his ability to swim. Ms. Gabby moved to San Antonio and we were so sad to see her go! But as life would have it, my family recently moved to San Antonio and I immediately connected with Ms. Gabby because my second child had become so fearful of the water and I knew Ms. Gabby could work her magic with my daughter! Ms. Gabby is about 30 minutes from my house, but we happily make the drive because she is worth it. She is professional, organized, and so patient with my kids! In just a few months of lessons, my daughter has become a fish! She now has the same survival skills as her big brother and she enjoys being in the water now all thanks to Ms. Gabby. I will continue to keep both of my children swimming with Ms. Gabby because I want them to keep up their skills and learn new things! I know without a shadow of a doubt if either of my kids fell in a pool, they could survive. Worth every single penny!
I have a 5 years old daughter and 1 and a half son going with Miss Gaby for swimming lessons. I love that is a personal training, and because of the consistency, they learn really quickly in a short period of time. I feel confident in leaving Isabel without a floaty in a public pool, and I am looking forward to seeing little David floating by himself in less than 2 months.
Our son started swimming at another school and we noticed the hesitancy every time he had class. He would fuss a lot and not show any confidence in his abilities. We switched to a new school and this was when we met Ms Gabby. They instantly connected and he started to enjoy swimming. Now, he is very confident, comfortable and always looking forward to vacations so he can swim in the hotel pools and beaches around the world. We highly recommend Ms Gabby. Her attention to detail, and kind nature helps her kids to relax and focus on their tasks. Thanks Ms Gabby, looking forward to our next class!
