I would strongly caution parents before enrolling their children at Royal Gymnastics, because based on my family’s experience and observations, this was not an environment I would consider healthy, balanced, or child-centered. In my opinion, the program appears to place far too much emphasis on image, competition, and the promise of elite gymnastics rather than the overall well-being of the child. Parents should step back and honestly ask whether their child is truly enjoying the experience, whether the schedule supports school, family life, rest, friendships, and normal childhood development, and whether the coaching environment builds confidence or creates pressure, fear, and emotional exhaustion. I also had concerns about the facility itself, which did not appear to be maintained at the standard I would expect for a children’s athletic program, including areas that looked dusty, worn, and poorly kept. That matters because parents are not just paying for instruction; they are trusting a business with their child’s physical and emotional safety. I believe families should be very careful when a program sells the idea of elite success, college opportunities, or high-level achievement, because those goals can sound impressive while distracting parents from the real question: Is this actually good for my child right now? Childhood is not something a family can recover later, and no sport should consume a child’s identity to the point where joy, balance, education, and emotional health become secondary. Some parents may want to believe their child is on a path to becoming a champion, but that belief should never outweigh what the child is experiencing day to day. Before giving this gym your money or your trust, watch the classes closely, look at the condition of the facility, pay attention to how children are spoken to, and ask yourself whether the program feels supportive or controlling. For our family, the answer was clear: Royal Gymnastics was not the right environment, and I would not recommend it to parents who want their children to grow in a healthy, balanced, and positive athletic setting.

My daughter loves it here, her confidence has skyrocketed. I love the staff and all the extra activities with the community like the downtown Christmas parade

Been members for a few years, this gym is amazing, the people, the atmosphere. The athletes are absolutely incredible, the coaches are amazing. We love it, and were so glad to have found such a great place for the kids. Recommend!

Our granddaughter's birthday party was a huge fun success! Royal Gymnastic staff were attentive, kind and knew how to keep the kids interested. We booked a 2 hour party for approximately 10 kids that was probably one of the best ideas. The staff had a very well planned program to assist the kids in gymnastics type of activities and games. They set up a nice party area snd even serve the food and cake!! Only one caveat, the kids find it hard to leave

Took my child to a birthday party here and it was a great time. The staff is so great with the kids and they had obstacles and games all planned out. The ratio of coaches to kids was about one to five (which I was told is how it is for the classes here) and they were there to lend a hand for the kids who needed it! There were also simple detours on the courses for those who wanted to avoid the more challenging aspects. Kids had over an hour to exercise and play which was very nice. It was a great idea and we're looking forward to visiting again in the future or signing up for one of their many classes.
