Powered by GoogleIt’s been so exciting to see ROOTS expanding into the Clayton area through one of our teachers opening her home to help bring nature-based education and community-centered learning opportunities to families in her area. One of the things I admire most about ROOTS is the focus on supporting the whole child through creativity, exploration, outdoor experiences, and meaningful relationships. The care, passion, and intentionality behind these programs truly make ROOTS something special.
Perfect teachers and staff. Kids love it.
ROOTS Clayton feels incredibly special to our family and organization because this campus truly grew from shared belief, trust, and community. What makes this location so unique is that it is the family homestead of one of our full-time ROOTS teachers, who believed so deeply in the mission and vision of ROOTS that she chose to open up her own land to help expand this movement into northern Delaware. That alone speaks volumes about the heart behind this program. The campus itself is peaceful, secluded, and full of charm. Between the bunnies, natural outdoor spaces, beautiful homestead setting, and the extra fun playground areas, it creates such a warm and welcoming environment where children can truly be children. I love that ROOTS continues to prove that meaningful education does not have to happen within four walls. At Clayton, children are learning through hands-on exploration, nature immersion, relationship building, practical life experiences, and progressive academics that feel engaging and connected to the real world. There is something so calming and grounding about this campus. It feels safe, intentional, and deeply community-centered. Watching this location grow has been incredibly exciting, and we are so grateful to be building spaces like this for families seeking a more connected and meaningful childhood experience.
The leadership at ROOTS Farm & Forest School is supportive, collaborative, and celebratory of everyone's differences.
