Roots Athletic Center is an indoor-outdoor sports complex in East Longmeadow that hosts Roots Summer Camp, a full-day camp for ages 5-12 running 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with before care from 7:30 AM and after care to 5:00 PM. Campers rotate through swimming, gymnastics, arts, STEM and outdoor adventures, with weekly themes, guest activities and crafts, and a Counselor-in-Training track serves ages 13-15. The complex also runs year-round youth soccer classes for ages 3-12, multi-sport classes, a high school summer prep clinic and field rentals.

But Coach Nick is an amazing coach and a truly kind person. I was impressed by the way he keeps all those little boys and girls focused, gives attention to each child, and finds an individual approach for everyone without ever interrupting the flow of the training session. My son absolutely fell in love with soccer! I can see how much more confident and coordinated he has become, and now he’s already scoring goals. He goes to every practice with great excitement and enthusiasm. Not only has he fallen in love with soccer, but he has also developed a love for sports in general. A couple of times, Coach Nick was substituted by Coaches Jason and Matt. We really liked all of the coaches. I can confidently recommend this place to any family whose children are just starting their sports journey. With coaches like these, kids are sure to fall in love with sports!

The toddler room is themed for every holiday even the 'minor' ones, so that's really fun for the kids. In the toddler room they mix their the events every week. You can tell they put a lot of effort into what they do. The bigger kid room is split into groups of kids with each kid practicing what they need time with. My kid advances in someway everyweek. There is plenty of space for parents to hang out. There are tables and activities for waiting siblings (coloring) Plenty of parking spaces.
