Powered by GoogleThis is my 2nd season with Revolution, and I’ve never been more disappointed in a cheer gym in the 30+ years I’ve been involved with competition cheerleading in this same community. First Off, For $2000 dollars for HALF season (3 competitions) , Skilled Coaching is Non-existent, and the girls are not taught professionally, how to stunt appropriately, Tumble effectively , or ANYTHING that builds on their individual strength as a cheerleader. There is hardly any conditioning and there sole concern is anything that benefits the Gym..and NOT the athletes. Second, The gym is calculated and manipulates their teams, in order to place them in categories where they will win by default. They created a team to compete on a level, in which half the girls do not have the appropriate Tumble skills to be on. Out of 3 competitions, The girls did not compete against not a Single team. We paid $2000, sanctified months of practices, for the girls to be placed in categories where they were the only ones competing. THIS was THE ENTIRE SEASON. They do this, so that they can take pictures of their “national champs” banners , and plaster them on social media so that it appears to have been an EARNED win, rather than wins by default. It isn’t competition cheer, with NO COMPETITION. The Gym could have easily re-categorized the team by moving them DOWN to the level they SHOULD have been in the first place based on skill level of the girls , but they rather pretend that a group of Teenage girls are “stewpid”, and can’t tell the difference between an EARNED victory and a DEFAULTED victory.. They fill up every routine with stunts to waste counts, because they have no one who is actually capable of creating floor sequences that challenge and strengthen dance and tumble skills. Revolution athletics should be embarrassed to deliver this kind of service, and at this point I would be silly to believe it was anything other than intentional. Do NOT waste your time or your money with this place. After speaking to other cheer gyms at the final competition, There are PLENTY of other places that will deliver the expectations one may have for a COMPETITIVE SPORT. Starting with an ACTUAL competitor. I will be seeking a refund with my bank, for a season that was falsely misleading to which my child did not actively compete with a single team. l also feel as if Revolution was intentionally deceptive when it comes to the rules of competition cheer, so that they could compete at a higher level, in which my child was not skilled for. The number of times my child came home crying, because she felt as if the coaches continued to place blame on her for NOT KNOWING how to stunt because she HAD NOT BEEN TAUGHT.. truly qualifies as unnecessary emotional stress. She should have been on a level 1 team as the year before, but Revolution did not have the proper coaches or resources to create both a junior 1 AND 2 team, and they simply just didn’t care how it would affect the girls or their ability for a fair competition season. You all should be ashamed
My daughter has been attending for a year and a half and loves it. After a recent coaching change, my daughter decided she wasn’t loving it anymore and wanted to go somewhere else. After requesting a drop form at the front desk, the lady I was speaking to was asking for feedback on why we were suddenly leaving. My daughter gave feedback. The lady gave me her cell phone number and I realized we were speaking to the owner, Lisa. Lisa offered to put her back with the coach she loves, changing the schedule around to make it right for my daughter. THIS is how to run a business. She wasn’t pushy about staying. She was concerned about the sudden change of heart and wanted to make it right. My daughter was back with her preferred coach. Coach Shadondra is amazing! Looking forward to my daughter’s continues growth and highly recommend Lisa and Revolution Athletics. If you have an issue for whatever reason, give them a chance to make it right for you, because they will!
Just enrolled my Granddaughter here after she completed 2 weeks of summer camp here. Cat and her Team are the best!
The coaches at Revolution are the best!! In the past 2 years they have taught my daughter so much more than just skills needed for cheerleading. She has grown as a cheerleader and has had a lot of personal growth. We recommend Revolution Athletics 100%.
I go to Revolution athletics. It is a family based gym and a very amazing place. It is somewhere you can go when your mad and just let it go. I have been here for 3 years now and it is AMAZING. I never thought I could do anything I can now and the coaches help we work through any problems. They are very professional and anyone who says otherwise I strongly disagree with. It is a gym and is SUPPOSED to be loud. I don’t know what is going on inside of people’s heads when they are saying it is to loud. It is like a second family and I do not feel very comfortable with people saying bad stuff about it. Lisa Lyda is a very wonderful woman and runs a wonderful business with that.
