She is the kindest, most warm and welcoming person you could ever meet. Instantly we felt like we belonged in this positive community. As a new mom going through postpartum depression, this class was the bright spot in our week. Ana showed us so many positive and fun ways to sing and interact with our child, who has adored the classes from the beginning. We have met so many dear friends through Prelude music classes! Ana, Jonathon and all of their loving teachers have cultivated such a loving, empathetic, positive community. Our son has flourished in these classes and we really feel like it helped with his language and social development. He gets so excited every time we enter their studio. We have all absolutely loved taking these classes as a family and I couldn’t recommend them more.

★★★★★Brittany WrightThese classes have been transformative in our journey as parents with our 2.5 year old son. It has been a joy to watch my son grow to love music. I noticed, at a very early age, that he responded to my singing, and would calm quickly with a familiar song. When we began attending classes, he just observed, mouth agape, at all the new sounds and people. Then he began participating, clapping and dancing and laughing with other kids. Soon, he started singing, but only with us. We have videos of him belting out garbled Prelude songs while riding on my shoulders. And recently, he started singing in class. I’m so proud of my little music enthusiast! This has also been a growth experience as a parent. Ana (the owner and our teacher) emphasizes the motto “connect more than you correct” in every class, and I’ve taken that to heart as I navigate the ups and downs of motherhood. She also emphasizes the importance of parent involvement and participation. At first, it was daunting to learn a new CD of songs every semester, and a little embarrassing to sing in class and hit a few wrong notes. But we’ve adapted and now can’t imagine a Saturday without Prelude. I’m so grateful to Ana and the Prelude community. I can tell that teaching music is a calling and a joy for Ana, and we are privileged to learn from her.

Our baby could be hungry and tired, and she did not care whatsoever because of how much she loved the classes. I can already tell how much she loves music, and these songs are special in our home. The songs are tailored so well to children, and they have so many amazing facets of music theory involved in the songs and classes! Our baby gets so energized in that environment, and it’s a joy to see. We looked forward to it every week. We’re eager to try the family class next!
