Just the atmosphere alone surrounding Sailing Enthusiasts is very appealing. After all. The Technology, Knowledge and Art of Sailing has been around for a millennia. Until relatively recently. Sailing has been the predominant form of long distance travel throughout the History of Mankind. The Pontchartrain Yacht Club. Facing Lake Pontchartrain, in the beautiful forested town of Mandeville is a real gem. A wonderful place for families and friends to getaway without having to travel too far from home.

An awesome yacht club. I have watched it grow over the decades. Today, October 30th, 2022, we saw the Veteran's Refarta Ceremony. Beautiful. The giant American Flag was suspended high and a flag was raised on the yacht clubs mast poke. A lady sung a tear moving rendition of thee Star Spangled Banner. The pledge of allegiance was spoken and the regatta commenced. Thanks yo the VFW. The yacht club

A full service yacht club complete with dry storage yard, 5 ton hoist, Sailing Camp for kids in the summer as well as adult sailing lessons. Many social activities including a Veterans Day Regatta supporting wounded veterans. They are a member of the G.Y.A. with reciprocal privileges. They also have a full bar on site and host weekly dinners and the club is available for rentals for things such as bridal showers, business meeting and the such. Located at the foot of Jackson Street on beautiful Lake Ponchartrain at the Old Mandeville Yacht Harbor
