The Egg Harbor Township Police Activities League (EHT PAL) is a 501(c)(3) youth nonprofit running a traditional summer camp and a STEM camp for children ages 3-15 on a 35-acre campus with 40,000+ square feet of indoor space and three pavilions. Activities include water slides, bounce houses, laser tag, go-karts, sports, arts and crafts, theme days and weekly field trips. Operating since 1989, funded by donations rather than taxes.

★★Sarah FlickI am extremely disappointed in this camp. I sent my daughter when she was 5 - and strongly disliked the amount of screen time that was happening. At every pick up/drop off all the kids were plopped in front of the tv or video games. “Counselors” were off to the side on their phone. We then tried a few other camps - unfortunately they all had screen time too, but then this year had in between week and ended up back at EHT Pal and here we are again with screens screens screens. At pick up and drop off all kids on iPads, video games or staring at a show. I figured maybe it’s just the before care/ after care but then I had to pick up mid day a few times for Dr’s appt, etc and in the middle of beautiful sunny days the kids are all plopped in front of the tv. “Counselors” again just sitting there in the corner. They wouldn’t even have to entertain the kids, if they simply didn’t turn the screens on - the kids would play. It would be one thing if the camp was $150 a week and they just sat there and watched tv all day, but by the time you pay for fees it’s over $300 a week per kid for them to watch tv.
★Angela ZhangThe camp charges an outrageous amount for the bare minimum. There is an extra charge for every little thing. On multiple occasions I was charged $20 for being late for pick up by MINUTES. It is impossible to get in touch with anyone and they do not honor camp policies that THEY wrote which are vague unclear. It clearly states “ there will be a late fee of $20 for every 15 mins after 5pm”. I was charged for pick ups at 5:04pm. They’re rude and only care about money. They have teen volunteers and grant funding however they still pinch Pennies when it comes to the kids. Do yourself a favor and hire a nanny with the money instead of spending it on a camp that puts nothing into their children. Nothing notable or worth paying for at this facility and definitely not a message/people worth supporting.
★★★★★Lorie O'DonoghueThis is the first year my daughter is attending summer camp here and she LOVES it!! We were hesitant to send her to camp for summer due to Covid 19, but at the same time we also realized she needed social interaction with kids. They do an amazing job with making sure the campers stay safe and have fun at the same time. They have multiple activities on site to keep the kids busy throughout the day including water slide and go karts. Temperatures are taken at drop off and pick up. Hand washing and sanitizing is encouraged throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this camp to friends and family.
