PlayCV is a Castro Valley 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs summer camps for TK through 8th grade at four East Bay school sites: Creekside Middle School, Castro Valley Elementary, Chabot and Independent. Weekly themed camps mix STEAM projects, sports, arts, cooking and culture, chess and outdoor games, with a separate play-based Kinder camp and a multi-week theater camp that ends in a performance. Six camp weeks run June 8 to July 24; families choose morning camp (8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.), afternoon camp (12:30-4 p.m.) or full day (8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.), with early drop-off from 7:30 a.m. and extended care to 5:30 p.m. Full-day weeks are $565-$595 and camps are open to families from any school or district.
